Location: San Jose, California (Onsite)
COMPENSATION: $22 - $29 HOURLY
Role Overview
A highly motivated data collection specialist is sought to join a robotics team. This position involves working with teleoperating robots, inspecting video footage, and taking corrective actions to collect quality data. The role requires working with minimal direction, the capacity to work quickly, and flexibility while delivering high-quality results. An eye for process improvement is critical, as input will be sought on how to evolve collection processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage data collection processes, including securing testing materials, handling logistics, and providing daily reports.
- Own defined projects focused on improving parts of the data collection processes.
- Work closely with engineering and research groups to improve usability and data collection speed.
- Operate machines and utilize computers, including command lines.
- Understand how data is stored in large files.
- Work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company.
- Roll up your sleeves to get stuff done, support several projects at one time, and accept reprioritization as necessary.
- Follow through, work independently, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
Education: Associates degree required in a relevant field.
Experience: 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
Skills:- Basic familiarity with electrical equipment and safety.
- A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to deliver high-quality work within tight timelines.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with robotics or physical device data collection and processing.
- End-to-end, hands-on experience with all aspects of data collections (storage, analysis, reporting).
