- Provide expertise and advanced knowledge of applications programming; ensure application design and database architecture adheres to the overall enterprise blueprint, coding standards, and security policies.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow to develop and enforce standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation across the SQL and application development lifecycle.

- Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define technical issues and develop innovative solutions; serve as an advisor and coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as appropriate.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and escalating control issues with transparency.
Recommended Qualifications
- 6+ years of relevant experience in SQL/PL/SQL engineering across enterprise relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications, with a proven track record in high-performance SQL query tuning, indexing, and ETL pipeline optimization on multi-terabyte datasets.
- Demonstrated experience managing and implementing successful projects end-to-end ? from requirements gathering and FSD/TSD documentation through UAT, STG, and PROD deployment.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development ? ideally in PL/SQL database engineering, data entitlement frameworks, or enterprise BI analytics (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos).
- Strong Agile/Scrum leadership skills ? ability to serve as Scrum Master or Product Owner, lead sprint planning, author user stories in JIRA / Azure DevOps, and manage cross-functional delivery teams.
- Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate ? demonstrated leadership and project management skills across global, multi-stakeholder programs with competing priorities.
