Job Overview

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to drive end-to-end data migration initiatives across enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data migration strategies, ETL development, data transformation, data quality management, and Python scripting. Experience migrating data from legacy or third-party platforms into Salesforce is highly desirable.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, and QA teams to ensure successful planning, execution, validation, and deployment of data migration activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end data migration projects, including planning, design, execution, validation, and post-deployment support.
• Analyze source system data structures and map data to target applications.
• Design, build, and optimize ETL pipelines for large-scale data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Develop reusable migration frameworks, scripts, and automation utilities.
• Create and maintain data mapping documents, migration runbooks, and reconciliation reports.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, standardization, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to define migration requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, completeness, and compliance throughout migration cycles.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead mock migrations, cutover planning, and production deployments.
• Mentor junior team members and establish migration best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Data Migration, Data Integration, or ETL Development.
• Strong experience designing and implementing ETL pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for data extraction, transformation, validation, and automation.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience in data mapping, data profiling, reconciliation, and migration testing.
• Knowledge of data quality and data governance best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Good to Have

• Experience migrating data from legacy systems, ERP, CRM, or custom platforms into Salesforce.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Data Loader, Bulk API, Data Import Wizard, or related Salesforce migration tools.
• Experience with cloud-based integration platforms and ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, MuleSoft, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar.
• Knowledge of Salesforce data model and CRM business processes.
• Experience with data warehousing and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Salesforce certifications or relevant integration certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience leading migration workstreams in complex enterprise transformation programs.
• Ability to manage multiple migration cycles and coordinate cross-functional teams.
