A Day in the LifeMedtronic's Tempe, Arizona location is looking for a night shift Technician III that will accept the challenge of providing critical customer support on production impacting situations.

In this position you will work in a cleanroom environment, performing a variety of routine and non-routine tasks in electrical, mechanical, quality, or other technical areas. You will complete complex tasks requiring judgment in determining work methods, interpreting test results and writing clear and accurate test result reports. You may build and test mechanical models, electrical circuits and assemblies. You may also have responsibility for minor projects and assist on assignments that are moderately complex to complex in nature where judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems.
Location: Tempe AZ
Shift: 12 hours, 5:30 PM to 5:30 AM Wednesday, Thursday Friday and every other Saturday.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:- Provides technical support to engineers to achieve improvements in cycle-time, yield, unit cost, quality, safety and compliance of production and operations processes and products.
- Monitors instruments and equipment and collects operating data, including calibration, inspection, testing and repair activities, to assist in making on-line adjustments to instruments, equipment, or products.
- Analyzes and resolves malfunctions and deviations of instruments and control systems to identify and resolve problems.
- Conducts, analyses and prepares reports using metrics from salvage tracking, trending, reporting and root-cause analyses.
- Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
- Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
- Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format in a manufacturing clean room environment. Performs equipment installation and qualification activities.
- Creates, troubleshoots and edits, equipment recipe programs in accordance with documented parameters and settings.
- Works with microelectronics packaging and processing materials such as semiconductor integrated circuits (ICs), printed circuit boards (PCBs), adhesives, wires, solvents, solder and flux formulations, etc., using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and work instructions / procedures.
- Performs data collection activities using measurement, test and optical inspection equipment.
- Analyze data from multiple sources to determine the disposition of non-conforming product.
- Maintains process designs to optimize process, equipment and facility use while conforming to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Must Have To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident in your applicant profile and resume- Requires complete and broad knowledge of systems, techniques, tools and procedures typically obtained through prior related work experience, training, and/or education.
- Requires 3+ years of relevant technical experience, which may include a combination of practical experience and applicable training, education, or certification.
Nice to Have: - Two-year degree (certificate) in Electronic Technology or equivalent (vocational or technical college).
- Proficient computer skills (basic-intermediate use of Microsoft Office applications), as well as experience troubleshooting general computer issues such as file system, shared drive, hard drive, power supply, networking issues, etc.
- Familiarity with circuit board manufacturing.
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
- Experience working in a regulated industry.
- Previous experience and with statistical process control (SPC) charts and data analysis.
- Soldering and microelectronics packaging assembly experience.
- Electronic analysis instrument setup and operating experience.
- Experience using and programming automated measurement systems.
- Experience using and programming automated assembly / manufacturing equipment.
- DRM, Lean, or Six Sigma experience.
- Good documentation practice.
- Teamwork Oriented.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$59,200.00 - $88,800.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
