Technical Profile & Requirements
- Core Python Stack:
- PySpark: Highly important for batch processing. This is much more critical for the role than NumPy or Pandas.
- AWS Glue: Required for the team's data pipelines.
- SQL Knowledge: Critical for managing how data pulls and processes interface with their databases (e.g., Snowflake).
- Nice-to-Have / Plus:
- asyncio (async.io): Experience with Python's asynchronous processing library is a strong differentiator, particularly for any potential work on the API side of their platform.
- Developing ETL processes to assist with the data conversion.
- Identifying and developing opportunities to automate the conversion process so it becomes hands-off.
- Setting up applications and infrastructure around the existing data pipeline to improve stability, handle tech upgrades, and address technical debt.
- Note on Scope: Contractors will not be doing the actual data modeling (which is already built and in place); they are simply setting up the supporting applications and infrastructure around it.
