Sr. Unified Comms Engineer - Federal Customer
(On-Site 5 Days per week, Chantilly, VA - TS/SCI Required)
The Unified Communications Engineer supports Dell Mission Operations by engineering, sustaining, and improving voice and collaboration capabilities used for day-to-day mission execution. This role is responsible for administration, troubleshooting, integration, and lifecycle support of communications platforms and endpoints in a secure environment. The ideal candidate brings strong UC fundamentals, customer-facing problem solving, and the ability to maintain dependable collaboration services under mission requirements.
Key responsibilities
Administer and support voice, telephony, conferencing, or collaboration platforms
Troubleshoot service issues involving call quality, endpoints, connectivity, or platform configuration
Support implementation, upgrades, and integration of communications solutions
Maintain documentation, diagrams, operating procedures, and support records
Coordinate with network, systems, and field teams on platform dependencies and changes
Support user issues, service requests, and operational continuity activities
Contribute to testing, validation, and service improvement efforts
Help ensure secure, stable, and supportable communications capabilities
Provide reports to relevant stakeholders and participate in leadership level design and engineering decisions
Required qualifications
Experience supporting unified communications, VoIP, telephony, or collaboration environments
Strong troubleshooting and customer-support skills
Familiarity with endpoint integration, platform administration, and service support processes
Understanding of network and QoS concepts related to voice and collaboration services
Ability to work onsite in a secure environment
Experience with video, AV, conferencing, or call-management environments
Familiarity with SIP, secure voice, or enterprise communications architectures
15+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree
Active TS/SCI and ability to maintain access as required by the program

Preferred qualifications
Experience with Cisco UC or similar platforms
Experience in government or classified environments
Lead experience guiding standards, design choices, or junior engineers
