A Fortune 50 Financial Institution is seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer to join their team. This engineer will help build and enhance enterprise-scale web applications, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver modern, accessible, and scalable user experiences.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 4:30pm
- Setting: Hybrid (3x a week onsite)
- Location: Vienna VA, Winchester VA, Pensacola FL, or San Diego CA
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining responsive, accessible, and high-performance web applications using Angular 17+ and modern web technologies
- Building reusable UI components, libraries, and enterprise design system standards to promote consistency and scalability
- Collaborating with Product, UX, Architecture, and Engineering teams to deliver intuitive user experiences and integrate REST APIs
- Driving front-end architecture decisions, conducting code reviews, mentoring engineers, and promoting engineering best practices
- Supporting CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps while optimizing application performance, accessibility, testing, and production support
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of front-end software engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Expert-level experience with Angular 17+
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS
- Experience developing enterprise-scale Single Page Applications (SPAs)
- Experience integrating REST APIs and working with Git and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Experience implementing WCAG accessibility standards and responsive web design
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and SOLID principles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and work effectively in Agile teams
Desired Skills:
- Experience with NX Monorepo architecture
- Experience with Storybook or similar component documentation tools
- Experience with Bootstrap, ng-Bootstrap, or similar UI frameworks
- Experience supporting digital banking or financial services applications
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools
- Experience contributing to platform modernization initiatives
