Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle WebCenter Content (WCC) Engineer/Developer to lead and support the migration and upgrade of an existing Oracle WebCenter Content environment from 12c to 14c. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with WebCenter Content architecture, configuration, development, integrations, and upgrade/migration activities.
Experience with Oracle SOA Suite and related enterprise integrations is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Oracle WebCenter Content 12c to 14c upgrade/migration.
- Assess the existing WCC 12c environment, including configurations, customizations, integrations, workflows, metadata, and content repositories.
- Develop and execute migration and upgrade strategies, plans, and procedures.
- Perform installation, configuration, and administration of Oracle WebCenter Content 14c.
- Migrate content, metadata, configurations, workflows, security settings, and custom components.
- Analyze and remediate compatibility issues associated with the 12c-to-14c migration.
- Support integration of WebCenter Content with enterprise applications and external systems.
- Troubleshoot application, integration, performance, and deployment issues.
- Develop or modify WebCenter Content customizations, components, services, workflows, and integrations as required.
- Coordinate with application, infrastructure, database, security, and integration teams throughout the migration.
- Perform unit, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Support production deployment, post-migration validation, and stabilization.
- Develop technical documentation, migration procedures, configuration documentation, and operational runbooks.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to other team members.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience with Oracle WebCenter Content (WCC) or closely related Oracle Content Management technologies.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle WebCenter Content 12c and 14c.
- Demonstrated experience performing WebCenter Content upgrades/migrations, preferably specifically from 12c to 14c.
- Strong understanding of WCC architecture, repository/content management, metadata, security, workflows, and configurations.
- Experience with WebCenter Content customization, development, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Oracle WebLogic Server and enterprise Java application environments.
- Experience with deployment, configuration management, and application integration.
- Strong understanding of databases and SQL.
- Experience developing technical documentation and migration/implementation plans.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle SOA Suite, including SOA composites, BPEL, Mediator, adapters, and enterprise integrations.
- Experience integrating WebCenter Content with Oracle SOA, APIs, web services, and other enterprise applications.
- Experience with Oracle Database.
- Experience with Java/J2EE technologies.
- Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager and WebLogic administration.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or government environments.
- Experience with high-volume content repositories and complex migration projects.
