Job Title: IT Lab Computing Support Specialist
Location: Bothell, WA - onsite
Duration: 12 months + potential to extend
Pay Range: $38/hr - $48/hr (W2)
Work Schedule: Initial shift 8 a.m.-4 p.m. for one month. Training shift 11 a.m.-7 p.m. for one month. Ongoing shift 3 p.m.-11 p.m.

Job Description
We are seeking a GMP Lab Computing Services (LCS) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in GMP laboratory computerized systems, laboratory applications, instrumentation interfaces, and supporting infrastructure and a proven ability to maintain compliant, reliable operations and lead lifecycle activities through controlled technical execution.
Responsibilities:
- Provide senior-level ownership and support for GMP laboratory computing systems and services.
- Maintain reliable operation of applications, computerized systems, workstations, instruments, interfaces, and infrastructure.
- Lead troubleshooting, incident response, and coordination across technical and business teams.
- Execute lifecycle activities including implementation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning with complete documentation.
- Perform work in accordance with GMP, SOPs, work instructions, and quality processes using a risk-based approach.
- Assess, plan, and verify changes through approved change control with acceptance criteria and rollback strategies.
- Develop and execute risk-appropriate testing, verification, and support for CSV/CSA activities with complete evidence.
- Apply data-integrity controls for electronic records, access, audit trails, configurations, interfaces, and data flows.
- Lead incident, deviation, and investigation support with root-cause analysis and CAPA verification.
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation and configuration records following Good Documentation Practices.
- Mentor engineers, establish consistent engineering practices, and promote accountability and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience supporting laboratory computing and regulated computerized systems in GMP environments.
- Strong knowledge of GMP principles, Good Documentation Practices, and controlled technical execution.
- Proven troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities across applications, instruments, and infrastructure.
- Experience with change management, testing, verification, and full system lifecycle support.
- Experience collaborating with Quality, Laboratory Operations, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and vendors.
- Clear technical writing and communication skills with sound technical judgment and independence.
Preferred Skills:
- Background in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other highly regulated laboratories.
- Experience with CSV or CSA, laboratory informatics, and instrument-to-system interfaces.
- Knowledge of Windows-based laboratory environments, virtualization, networking, databases, and enterprise interfaces.
- Experience with data-integrity assessments, change control, deviations, CAPA, and audits or inspections.
- Project leadership and mentoring experience.
