Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a Data Analyst Intern to provide support to our Sales & Customer Service Operations team. We're seeking motivated students from local universities who are interested in building real-world experience throughout the year. Candidates who can work
part-time during the academic year and full-time during the summer are encouraged to apply.
A typical day as a Data Analyst Intern might include:- Review data, create charts, dashboards, and reports as assigned.
- Develop ways to avoid and deter data inconsistencies at the source in addition to review, validate, research, clean and transform those inconsistencies.
- Support analysts to improve current reports and data sources.
- Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
- Understand. Create. Simplify.
- Other duties as assigned.
This job might be for you if: - Current student pursuing a degree in Analytics, Math, Statistics, or Management Information Systems
- Knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
- Strong analytical, judgment, organizational, and project management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
- Ability to learn and communicate technical/scientific information to a non-technical audience
- Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Background check results satisfactory to SEL
- Negative drug test result(s)
It is a plus if you: - Experience with Python, R, SQL or other analytic languages
- Experience with reporting software, such as Web Intelligence, Power BI, or Tableau

Pay Range Data - $21.50 - $28.75 hourlyOur intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate). Talk with your recruiter if you are curious about the rate for your year in school.
