The Artificial Intelligence Unit (ITSAI)develops and operates the World Bank Group's enterprise AI capabilities,including the mAI platform and framework. The unit provides governed access tofoundation models, reusable agentic capabilities, tools, skills, contextmanagement, data and knowledge integrations, guardrails, evaluation, andobservability. This assignment will contribute directly to mAI engineering,with a focus on production-quality user experiences and reusable AI-agentcapabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
ThemAI Full-Stack and AI Engineering Intern will work within ITSAI to design,build, test, and improve user-facing and agentic capabilities for mAI. The rolecombines modern frontend engineering with applied AI engineering. The Internwill contribute to responsive interfaces for long-running AI tasks,context-aware agent behavior, reusable tools and skills, and graph-basedrepresentations or workflows. Under the guidance of ITSAI technical leads, theIntern will collaborate with platform engineers, product teams, and businessstakeholders to deliver secure, maintainable, and reusable components alignedwith mAI architecture and World Bank Group standards.
