It comes in three flavors: vCloud Suite Standard, which allows IT administrators to deliver services such as networking and security within virtual datacenters; vCloud Suite Advanced, with more cloud-infrastructure and operations management features; and vCloud Suite Enterprise, with still more features such as on-demand provisioning of multi-tier applications. The interaction between HP Converged Cloud and vCloud Suite is multifaceted. For example, IT pros can use HP Cloud Protection Program and Consulting Services to determine which HP and VMware security capabilities will best serve different aspects of their infrastructure’s security needs. HP Data Protector integrates with VMware vCloud Director to provide backup and recovery (along with support for federated de-duplication for the enterprise); in theory, that curbs the risk of data loss from applications for vCloud users. Via these expanded offerings, vCloud can be integrated with HP CloudSystem, a portfolio of architecture for building private, public and hybrid cloud environments.
