Some might say that nothing demonstrates the power of social media more than Weird Al Yankovic's album "Mandatory Fun" hitting the top of Billboard's chart. But that would be cynical. After all, a lot of work goes into making goofy things great. The folks at the Verge put together this video featuring excerpts from eight of Weird Al's older parodies, synced up with the work that inspired him. It's cool to see how well they fit together.
