This role is part of our Tactical Missiles and Integrated Defense Systems business, which designs and develops integrated missile and defense systems that support critical missions across air, land, and sea. We combine comprehensive analysis, engineering, and program execution capabilities to deliver mission-tailored solutions that reduce lead times, lower costs, and simplify complex multi-vendor supply chains. Backed by decades of flight-proven and fielded performance, we design and build mission-critical technologies including launch systems, propulsion, payload integration solutions, UAV components, missile subsystems, and Safe & Arm systems.
The Engineering Technician II supports engineering, manufacturing, and production teams by performing mechanical assembly, assisting with test setup and execution, and helping with hardware handling and shipping. This role provides hands-on technical support that directly contributes to reliable hardware performance, safe operations, and efficient workflow across engineering and production activities.
Responsibilities- Performs mechanical assembly based on verbal and written instructions.
- Supports engineering testing and manufacturing activities, including assisting with test setup and execution.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support accurate build and test operations.
- Assists with packaging and shipping hardware and equipment to support production needs.
- Observes safety procedures and reports potentially unsafe conditions to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborates with engineers and technicians to support daily technical tasks.
- Performs other related duties as needed.
Schedule- This shift follows a 9/80 schedule: 9 hours Monday through Thursday, 8 hours Friday, with every other Friday off.
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with basic hand and power tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Strong desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Two to five years of experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments.
- Exceptional work ethic and positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications- Associate's degree or higher.
Physical Requirements- Moderate physical and repetitive work.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Use of stairs.
- Occasional heavy lifting.
