We are seeking an IT Technician who is customer-focused, technically capable, and comfortable supporting users across a variety of client environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, solving problems, working directly with customers, and continuing to grow their technical skills.

Role Overview

The IT Technician is responsible for providing responsive technical support to end users, resolving hardware and software issues, supporting Microsoft environments, and assisting with the ongoing maintenance of client systems and infrastructure.

This position includes both remote support and occasional on-site work at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to service requests by phone, email, and support portal.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, application, hardware, and connectivity issues.

  • Support Microsoft 365 and end-user account administration.

  • Provision and configure systems for new users and employee onboarding.

  • Support Windows workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and related hardware.

  • Assist with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file services, and print services.

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network-connected devices.

  • Use remote management and diagnostic tools to resolve technical issues.

  • Escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining clear documentation.

  • Prioritize tickets and service requests to meet established SLAs.

  • Support antivirus, endpoint security, patching, and other security initiatives.

  • Perform preventative maintenance and identify potential system issues.

  • Maintain professional and positive communication with clients and internal team members.

  • Travel to customer locations when on-site support is required.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of relevant IT support experience or a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience providing technical support in business environments.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365.

  • Experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11.

  • Familiarity with Windows Server environments, including Server 2012 or newer.

  • Working knowledge of Active Directory is preferred.

  • Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, networking concepts, and common network devices.

  • Experience supporting printers, peripherals, desktop hardware, and common business applications.

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and macOS is a plus.

  • Experience with NinjaOne/Ninja RMM, Autotask PSA, or similar MSP tools is preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients.

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation.

CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar certifications are preferred but not required.

Employment Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer locations when required.

  • Ability to successfully complete any required background screening.

  • Ability to work effectively in both remote and client-facing environments.

Compensation

$60,000–$70,000 annually

Compensation will be based on experience, technical ability, and overall qualifications.

The ideal candidate is a dependable, customer-focused technician who can independently resolve common technical issues, communicate clearly with users, and recognize when an issue requires escalation.

This role is best suited for someone with a strong foundation in desktop support, Microsoft technologies, basic server administration, and networking who is interested in continuing to develop toward more advanced infrastructure responsibilities.
