Job Summary / Overview
We are seeking a Secure Automation Engineer to help modernize and strengthen enterprise development tools and services. This role focuses on automating code analysis, improving application security, modernizing legacy applications, and implementing secure engineering practices across large-scale software environments.
The ideal candidate has a strong software engineering background with advanced Python expertise, experience modernizing legacy code, and a passion for automation, security, and DevSecOps.

1. Python & Automation
Advanced Python development and scripting (must be able to code from scratch no cut and paste)
Experience building automation tools to analyze, improve, and secure large codebases
Strong software engineering background (8+ years preferred)
2. Secure Software Engineering
Experience implementing secure transport standards (SSH certificates, TLS)
Secure coding practices and code review experience
CI/CD pipeline automation and DevSecOps principles
3. Legacy Code Modernization
Working knowledge of Perl for legacy application migration
Experience modernizing existing applications into supported technologies
AI-assisted coding and automated refactoring tools
Preferred Skills / Nice to Have
Secrets management and certificate lifecycle automation
Knowledge of OWASP security standards
Experience with SAST and DAST security testing tools
Cross-platform scripting across Windows and Linux

Key Responsibilities
Develop Python automation to analyze, improve, and secure enterprise code repositories
Modernize legacy Perl applications into supported technologies
Implement and maintain secure transport standards, including SSH certificates and TLS
Utilize AI coding assistants and automated refactoring tools to improve development efficiency
Enhance security testing and deployment automation within CI/CD pipelines
Perform code reviews and promote secure-by-design engineering standards
Collaborate with engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle
Drive continuous improvements in application security and automation practices
Education Requirement
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
Certifications (Preferred)
Security, cloud, DevSecOps, or automation certifications are a plus.
