Job Description A global private markets investment firm is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to support the secure delivery of next-generation cloud technologies across its investment, operational, and client-facing platforms. As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a key role in helping engineering teams securely adopt and operationalize cloud technologies. Rather than focusing primarily on incident response, application security, governance, data protection, resilience, or vendor risk, this role is centered on security enablement during cloud transformation initiatives. You will act as a technical partner to engineering and platform teams, helping them build secure cloud solutions without slowing innovation.
This position requires someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, influencing engineering decisions, and creating scalable security solutions that can be adopted across multiple teams. You will help modernize legacy environments, establish secure cloud deployment patterns, develop reusable security services, and accelerate the organization's cloud maturity. Success in this role comes from balancing security requirements with engineering efficiency and business objectives.
Required Skills & Experience - Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or multi-cloud environments
- Experience supporting cloud migration and modernization initiatives
- Knowledge of cloud architecture and distributed systems
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Familiarity with CI/CD platforms and deployment automation
- Experience implementing cloud security controls and engineering best practices
- Knowledge of container platforms and cloud-native technologies
- Experience developing automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Understanding of networking, identity management, and cloud infrastructure
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
Desired Skills & Experience - 5+ years of cloud security, cloud engineering, or infrastructure security experience
- Experience supporting enterprise cloud transformation programs
- Financial services, investment management, or fintech experience
- Exposure to platform engineering or internal developer platforms
- Experience with Kubernetes and modern cloud-native architectures
- Familiarity with cloud cost optimization and operational efficiency initiatives
- AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, CCSP, or similar certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field

- Support migration of applications and services into cloud environments
- Develop automation that simplifies security implementation across engineering teams
- Build scalable security controls that can be integrated into cloud platforms
- Evaluate new cloud technologies and recommend secure deployment approaches
- Improve developer experience by reducing friction in security processes
- Assist platform teams in establishing secure reference implementations and standards
- Identify opportunities to streamline cloud security operations through automation
- Contribute to long-term cloud security roadmaps and transformation initiatives
