Job Description

A leading global asset management firm is hiring a Cloud Security Engineer to join its growing cybersecurity and infrastructure organization. The company is known for its data-driven investment approach and extensive use of advanced technology, quantitative research, and cloud-based platforms to support global investment operations. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will help protect critical cloud infrastructure, enterprise applications, and sensitive financial data while enabling secure innovation across the organization.

In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain cloud security controls across multi-cloud environments, with a primary focus on securing enterprise workloads, data platforms, and software development pipelines. You will work closely with infrastructure, software engineering, platform, and security teams to establish security best practices, improve threat detection capabilities, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include cloud architecture reviews, identity and access management, vulnerability management, security automation, incident response support, and the implementation of security monitoring solutions. Additionally, you will help develop security frameworks that enable the organization to safely scale its cloud footprint while maintaining a strong security posture.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience securing AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments
  • Experience with cloud security architecture and best practices
  • Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience with security monitoring, logging, and SIEM platforms
  • Knowledge of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud-native security services
  • Experience with vulnerability management and remediation practices
  • Proficiency with Python, PowerShell, or another scripting language
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements
  • Solid software engineering and automation fundamentals

Desired Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of cybersecurity or cloud security experience
  • Experience supporting financial services, fintech, or highly regulated environments
  • Knowledge of container and Kubernetes security
  • Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline security
  • Cloud security certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, CCSK, or CCSP
  • Experience with threat detection and incident response
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities
  • 100% Hands On
  • Design and implement security controls for cloud infrastructure and enterprise applications
  • Monitor cloud environments and respond to security alerts, vulnerabilities, and threats
  • Perform security reviews of new cloud services, architectures, and deployments
  • Develop and maintain automated security tooling and compliance controls
  • Partner with engineering teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Manage identity, access, secrets management, and privileged access controls
  • Evaluate cloud configurations and recommend improvements to strengthen security posture
  • Support incident response investigations and security remediation efforts
  • Implement and enhance cloud logging, monitoring, and threat detection capabilities
  • Document security standards, procedures, and architectural decisions
