Summary

Our client, located in San Jose, CA, is currently in need of a NetApp Storage Migration Engineer for a 2 year contract. The consultant will work a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week onsite to start and then more flexibility based on need as the contract progresses. The consultant will be responsible for performing Isilon to NetApp storage migrations.

Responsibilities:

Assess and develop a plan to migrate their Isilon infrastructure
Ability to Pull autosupport information and execute initial diagnostics without generating a support ticket
Help resolve events in the field about a particular version of ONTAP
Work with PS/Support resources and open up dialog immediately and take the lead to quickly to help resolve issues or diagnosing failover events without customer hand holding
Transfer of knowledge to other individuals in customer org.

Required Skills:

Ability to work on a W2 basis
Ability to work onsite 3 days per week to start then as needed as the contract progresses
Experience with Electronic Design Automation
Experience migrating data from Isilon to NetApp
Experience with storage automation, either Python or Ansible
Deep OnTap experience
Experience with NetApp migration tools

Desired Skills:

AWS or Google Cloud Platform cloud knowledge
