Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 3 years relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. As an
Advanced Software Engineer for GDMS Canonsburg, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for designing and building test systems that verify mission-critical hardware.
What you'll experience- Design and develop software-based test systems for mission-critical hardware.
- Integrate software with electrical hardware and National Instruments hardware.
- Automate functional and performance testing of physical hardware through software.
- Develop and maintain digital signal processing software and test applications.
- Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
What sets you apart:- Experience working with electrical hardware, both hands on and programmatically
- Experience with National Instruments Hardware
- Proficiency with one or more of the following:
- C/C++
- Object Oriented Development
- Windows/Visual Studio/.NET
- Background implementing Digital Signal Processing software
- Experience automating testing of physical hardware via software
- Ability to lead the software development process
- Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges in creative ways
- Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and positioning others for success
- Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
