Genesis10 is currently seeking an Engineering Project Manager for a contract position with a Global Medical Technology Company located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity. This is an individual contributor role within a Product Transfer team, focused on delivering high-impact, cost-transformative engineering projects. The successful candidate will work independently across a network of stakeholders from Product Transfer, Operations, and Divisional partners in a manufacturing environment. This role requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities: - Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously
- Prioritize tasks and assign team members to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met
- Evaluate and escalate changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project
- Lead engineering projects across multiple sites
- Monitor progress and performance against the project plan
- Identify and resolve operational problems to minimize delays
- Work collaboratively with counterpart project manager at site in Tijuana, Mexico
- Manage ongoing relationship and effective communication with key project stakeholders
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree with 5 or more years experience managing engineering projects in a manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of working in a team-based environment
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills - able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Effectively communicate project risks and manage expectations across different functional groups
- Innovative thinker - should be able to envision new and better ways of doing things
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Project (be able to build a schedule and manage critical path)
Desired skills: - PMP certification
- Engineering background or degree
- Experience in an FDA regulated or regulated industry
Pay range: $34.88 - $44.88 per hour
