About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated
Senior Business Systems Consultant to partner with cybersecurity, technology, and business stakeholders in driving governance, compliance, and security-focused initiatives across a large enterprise environment.
In this role, you will serve as a strategic liaison between security engineering teams, application owners, compliance organizations, testing teams, and external vendors. You will help ensure applications meet security requirements, regulatory obligations, and organizational standards while driving remediation efforts, risk management activities, and operational excellence.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving business and technology challenges, and can lead initiatives through influence, collaboration, and strong stakeholder management. This is
not a hands-on engineering or software development role.
What You'll Do- Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on cybersecurity governance, compliance, and application security programs.
- Partner with security engineers, application owners, risk and compliance teams, and third-party vendors to support enterprise security objectives.
- Manage projects from planning through execution, ensuring milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and timelines are achieved.
- Coordinate security testing activities, track results, and support remediation efforts through resolution.
- Analyze security findings, identify risks and gaps, and drive accountability for corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance requirements, security policies, and standards to help ensure ongoing adherence across supported applications.
- Facilitate discussions among technical and non-technical stakeholders to resolve issues and align on priorities.
- Develop executive-ready reporting, dashboards, presentations, and status communications.
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining visibility, transparency, and effective stakeholder engagement.
- Consult on complex business and technology challenges requiring strategic analysis and evaluation of multiple factors, including emerging risks and ambiguous requirements.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology, Business Systems, Technology Consulting, Governance, Risk, Compliance, or related disciplines.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects involving technology, compliance, governance, or business systems.
- Strong project coordination, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience identifying, tracking, mitigating, and escalating risks and issues.
- Proven stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to influence decision-making across technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Application Security, Technology Risk, or Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) functions.
- Familiarity with security testing, penetration testing, vulnerability management, or remediation processes.
- Experience supporting application governance and security policy compliance programs.
- Knowledge of third-party vendor management or externally supported application environments.
- Understanding of APIs and reporting platforms.
- Experience working within a large, matrixed enterprise organization.
