What you will do:
\n
\n - Receive service calls from Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions
\n - Contact customer representative and ascertain equipment/systems problems
\n - Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and other related building system products at customer sites
\n - Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. to repair equipment
\n - Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers Fire & Life Safety systems including SimplexGrinnell
\n - Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics and operational product manuals
\n - Exhibit excellent customer service skills by consistently communicating with the district staff and customers to ensure customer satisfaction
\n - Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices, such as smart phones and laptop computers
\n - Obtain customer signature upon completed service call assignment
\n - Participate in a scheduled On-call rotation
\n - Help to train or mentor others on the service team
\n - Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service
\n - Perform other duties as assigned

How you will do it
\n
\n - This skilled position involves troubling shooting and repairing installed systems. Including panel repair/reprogram, device replacement/repair, resolving low voltage circuit troubles and system testing.
\n - Organize and effectively utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to assure efficient execution of all assigned tasks.
\n - Candidate must possess excellent written/verbal communication and outstanding customer service skills.
\n - Position involves the programming of fire alarm, security, and access control system panels.
\n - Experience CCTV and IT and IP networks a plus.
\n - Complete and submit all required task-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
\n - On call and after hours work required on occasion at customer need.
\n - Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities.
\n - Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

What we look for:

Required
\n
\n - 5+ years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems.
\n - NICET ll Level II certification - Preferred
\n - Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.
\n - Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
\n - High School Diploma or equivalent
\n - Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
\n - Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
\n - Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc
\n - Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
\n - Overnight travel may be required.
\n - Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
\n - Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
\n - Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
\n - Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
\n - Possess a valid driver s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
\n - Retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $29.13-39.90 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
