Description We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead technology and software development initiatives across a growing organization. This individual will manage projects involving internal technical teams and external development partners, ensuring successful delivery, stakeholder alignment, and business value realization.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery- Lead technology and software development projects through the full lifecycle, including discovery, requirements gathering, planning, development, testing, deployment, and closeout.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects involving cross-functional teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, status reports, risk logs, and action items.
- Proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, scope changes, and timelines.
- Coordinate testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Communicate project progress, decisions, and risks to leadership and stakeholders.
- Support change management, training, and organizational readiness activities for system implementations.
- Document current-state and future-state business processes to support solution design and continuous improvement.
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement- Partner with business teams to understand processes, identify challenges, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business requirements into technology solutions, including system enhancements, integrations, automation initiatives, and new applications.
- Facilitate project intake, discovery sessions, and requirements-gathering workshops.
- Assist with project prioritization, scope definition, resource planning, timelines, and risk assessment.
Vendor Management- Coordinate and monitor the work of external vendors and consulting partners.
- Track deliverables, milestones, statements of work (SOWs), and project-related commitments.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
Documentation & Process Improvement- Create and maintain business requirements, functional requirements, workflows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and project documentation.
- Ensure documentation remains accurate and current throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and effectiveness across technology and business operations
Requirements Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of experience managing technology, software development, or systems implementation projects.
- Experience coordinating efforts between internal teams and external vendors or consulting partners.
- Proven ability to gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and project deliverables.
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience supporting enterprise applications, integrations, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Exposure to process improvement, workflow optimization, and change management practices.
- Project management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or equivalent are a plus.
