Genesis10 is currently seeking an API Developer for a contract position with a Major Healthcare Company located in Eagan, MN. This is a 6 month contract opportunity. This position is hybrid.
Compensation: $62.60 - $72.60 per hour, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview: The selected candidate will build and support backend services that enable digital interoperability between healthcare systems. This role focuses heavily on Java-based API development within a cloud-native AWS environment to help meet CMS mandates for digital data exchange between payers, providers, and patients. Experience with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) is highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop backend APIs and integration services
- Build and maintain services using Java with supporting JavaScript/TypeScript as needed
- Deploy and support services in an AWS environment
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and BSAs to clarify requirements
- Proactively seek information when documentation is incomplete
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and peer code reviews
Primary Requirements: - FHIR experience
- Strong Java backend development experience
- API development and integration experience
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve proactively
Desired Skills: - Healthcare integration experience
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and API security
