About the Role We are seeking a Test Engineer to join the Electrical Integration Lab (EIL), where you will validate the software and hardware systems that power our autonomous vehicles.
In this role, you'll be at the center of our validation pipeline, executing rigorous tests on dynamometer (dyno) systems and electrical test assets to ensure software releases meet the highest standards of quality and safety before vehicle deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Execute manual and automated structured test plans on dynamometer systems to validate software releases across platforms like DynoBot Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) electrical test assets Perform functional, regression, and integration testing on EIL test assets in support of software release cycles
Monitor, record, and analyze test data to identify anomalies, failures, and trends Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineers to reproduce issues, characterize root causes, and verify fixes
Document test procedures, results, and defects with precision and clarity
Maintain, troubleshoot, and build automation for dyno test infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and reliability Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes, tooling, and automation within the lab
Support test asset configuration management and track hardware/software build states
Execute software flashing procedures for vehicle electronic control units (ECUs) and other programmable components Required Qualifications BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
4-6 years of work experience in a test, validation, or integration engineering role
Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical integration and testing of systems and subsystems
Experience with HIL systems such as dSPACE, CANoe, Labview, or similar tools
Experience in R&D; electronics environment or electrical testing lab
Experience executing and documenting test plans in a structured test environment
Strong analytical and debugging skills - methodical problem-solving when systems don't behave as expected
Experience with electronic lab equipment: multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, programmable power supplies, chillers, accelerometers, and torque sensors
Comfortable working in a fast-paced lab environment with evolving hardware and software Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Python or scripting for test automation
Experience with Linux command-line interface (CLI) and filesystem topology
Experience with data acquisition tools and log analysis
Ability to translate hardware/software requirements into actionable test cases Experience with axle-hub dynamometers Previous experience diagnosing CAN or Ethernet network issue
