Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to support automotive electronics validation, focusing on Infotainment and Telematics ECU testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical bench testing, ECU diagnostics, hardware validation, and troubleshooting of automotive electronic systems. This role will involve setting up test environments, executing validation activities, analyzing failures, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure product quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on bench-level testing and validation of automotive Infotainment and Telematics ECUs to verify system functionality and performance.
  • Build, configure, and maintain electrical test setups, including test benches, lab equipment, and validation environments.
  • Execute functional testing of ECU features including audio systems, connectivity functions, telematics services, user interfaces, and embedded system capabilities.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain test cases, document test results, identify defects, and provide detailed failure analysis.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and hardware/software issues using diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and data/log analyzers.
  • Analyze electrical signals, perform measurements, and validate system behavior at the component and ECU level.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation for troubleshooting and validation activities.
  • Support ECU flashing, software configuration, integration testing, and release validation activities.
  • Assist engineering teams with root cause investigations, issue tracking, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, QA, and validation teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
  • Maintain accurate test documentation, validation reports, test logs, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Support regression testing activities for software updates, hardware changes, and new product releases.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with automotive electrical testing, ECU validation, or electronics troubleshooting.
  • Experience performing bench testing and validation of embedded automotive systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, and electronic components.
  • Ability to use laboratory equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience with test execution, defect reporting, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software integration issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work onsite in a lab/testing environment and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing and automotive test benches.
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols and tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, or CAPL scripting.
  • Knowledge of ECU hardware validation, PCBA testing, and board-level debugging.
  • Experience validating infotainment features including audio/video systems, connectivity, and user interface functionality.
  • Basic programming or scripting experience using Python or automation frameworks.
  • Understanding of automotive quality processes, validation standards, and engineering practices.
