Job Overview:
Pay Range: $30.00hr - $35.00hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- Prior experience in providing business analysis on a large-scale IT system or prior experience determining eligibility or supporting administration for the WIC program.
- Bachelor s degree, or equivalent combination of recent, relevant work experience.
- 3+ years working in a Business Analyst position or 2+ years strong background in the WIC program.
- Experience defining business problems, gathering and documenting requirements, determining business solutions and verifying solutions meet requirements.
- Ability to handle a heavy workload with general direction.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in conjunction with team members.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient problem-solving skills.
- Must be adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodology.
- Relationship management and facilitation skills.
- Strong decision-making ability.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercising discretion is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the project team, business partners, and system vendor to gather and finalize business requirements.
- Gather information on existing business processes, analyze those processes, and suggest improvements and optimal system design to meet business needs.
- Actively participate in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions for new systems and new functionality within existing systems.
- Review design documentation drafted by the system vendor for thoroughness and completeness to ensure no gaps in design.
- Draft test plans and test scenarios for the project and participate in system testing.
- Monitor and follow up on Risks, Action Items, and Decision (RAID) items for the project.
- Report on project status regularly to management.
- Collaborate with staff from other divisions on the project.
- Serve as a primary point of contact and Subject Matter Expert (SME) on new system modules and updates.
- Provide Maintenance and Operation Support for new Vendor Management Portal and Local Agency Portal.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience determining eligibility for or supporting administration of the WIC program is preferred.
