Kforce has a client that is seeking an Automation Engineer - AI Assisted Test Automation in Greenwood Village, CO.
Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Automation Engineer to build and maintain automated testing solutions for complex applications. While the team supports front-end applications, testing goes beyond the UI to validate the systems, integrations, and components behind the overall customer experience. The ideal candidate will have strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills, experience building automation and reusable frameworks, and the ability to work independently. This team actively uses AI-assisted development, so candidates should have practical experience using AI coding tools to build automation, improve code, troubleshooting issues, and accelerate development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build, debug, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
* Develop automation using JavaScript and/or TypeScript
* Analyze requirements and manual test cases to identify automation opportunities
* Test front-end functionality as well as supporting systems and integrations
* Use AI coding assistants to develop automation, generate/refactor code, troubleshoot issues, and improve test coverage
* Troubleshoot automation failures across applications and testing environments
* Collaborate with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to incorporate quality throughout the development lifecycle
* Help improve automation standards, tools, and testing practices
* Work independently across multiple initiatives and adapt as priorities change
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of test automation, SDET, automation development, or software quality engineering experience
* Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript
* Experience building automated tests and reusable automation frameworks, not just executing existing test suites
* Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants as part of day-to-day development or test automation
* Experience testing across multiple applications, systems, integrations, and environments
* Strong scripting, debugging, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to provide examples of using AI for automation, framework development, code generation/refactoring, debugging, agents/skills, or improving test coverage
* Ability to work independently, take ownership, and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with WebdriverIO or similar modern automation frameworks
* Experience with Claude, Kiro, GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, or similar AI development tools
* Experience testing connected devices, networking equipment, telecommunications technology, or similar environments
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
