Senior Test Automation Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer in Irving, TX.

Duties Include:
* Identify business risks and contribute to user story definition
* Define, develop, and review test cases, test plans, and overall test strategy
* Design and build automation frameworks from scratch and continuously improve automated test coverage
* Perform hands-on testing and contribute to quality throughout the software development lifecycle
* Use appropriate test tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Karate, and JMeter
* Apply TDD, BDD, and Gherkin practices to improve testability and shared understanding of requirements
* Integrate automated testing into pipelines and CI/CD processes, including Jenkins
* Collaborate actively with engineering and non-engineering colleagues in a SCRUM environment
* Bring creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to quality challenges
* Maintain a strong QA mindset: build solutions, challenge them through testing, and continuously improve quality

REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum 6+ years of experience in QA automation, including experience writing automation frameworks from scratch
* Minimum 1 year of experience with MongoDB, Node.js, and cloud services (e.g., serverless functions, workflow orchestration, and monitoring/logging tools)
* In-depth knowledge of one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, or C#
* Hands-on experience with one or more test tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Karate, or JMeter
* Experience defining and reviewing test cases and test plans, with the ability to identify business risks and contribute to user story definition
* Knowledge or experience with pipelines, Jenkins, and CI/CD processes

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
