Position Summary:
Seeking a seasoned Cloud Architect to design, implement, and maintain Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments supporting middleware and web-tier applications. This is a long-term contract with a hybrid work setup. You will work closely with AppArch, Middleware, DevOps, and application development teams to drive cloud-native strategies and flawless integration with on-premises systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for hosting Middleware applications
Architect cloud environments for Weblogic, Apache Tomcat, Oracle REST Data Services, NGINX, Oracle HTTP Server, Apache HTTP Server on Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE)
Collaborate with AppArch and Middleware/DevOps teams for seamless cloud/on-premises integrations
Ensure high availability, efficient deployments, and security compliance across multi-environment setups
Automate build, test, and deployment with DevOps tools: GitHub, Nexus, Ansible Automation Platform
Support scalable deployment and ongoing management of Middleware applications in cloud and on-premises
Requirements:
10+ years experience in IT (including 2+ years in cloud architecture/design)
Hands-on experience designing secure, scalable cloud environments in OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)
Proficiency deploying/managing services: compute, storage, networking, database, security
Experience with Kubernetes and Docker for containerization, scaling, and orchestration
Strong hands-on knowledge of Middleware: Weblogic, Apache Tomcat, APEX, REST Data Services, API Gateway
Familiar with DevOps tools and automation workflows
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
