Role: Oracle Order Management Lead Consultant (with Automotive Release Management and CUM functionality)

Travel Requirement: Up to 75% travel across customer plants, manufacturing sites, distribution locations, OEM locations, and project offices
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Order Management Consultant with deep automotive industry experience to lead the implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management.The consultant will design and deploy customer-order fulfillment processes that support OEM releases, customer schedules, cumulative quantity management, just-in-time delivery, just-in-sequence fulfillment, shipment execution, customer compliance, and end-to-end order-to-cash integration. This role requires strong functional expertise in Oracle Order Management and practical knowledge of automotive release management, including CUM reconciliation and OEM delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Order Management and automotive release-management discovery workshops with customer service, sales, scheduling, plant operations, logistics, shipping, finance, and IT stakeholders.
Document current-state and future-state order-to-cash processes, including OEM releases, firm and forecast demand, shipping schedules, order changes, shipment confirmation, billing, returns, and customer claims.
Design Oracle Fusion Order Management processes for sales orders, fulfillment lines, orchestration, holds, jeopardy management, split shipments, substitutions, backorders, returns, and fulfillment exceptions.
Define the future-state approach for receiving and processing customer releases, including forecast schedules, firm schedules, frozen zones, schedule revisions, shipment authorization, and demand-change controls.
Lead design for automotive cumulative quantity processes, including shipped CUM, customer-authorized CUM, received CUM, CUM reset dates, CUM reconciliation, and discrepancy-resolution procedures.
Partner with EDI and integration teams to support inbound OEM releases and outbound order acknowledgments, ASNs, invoices, shipment status, and other customer-facing transactions.
Define business rules for shipping windows, partial shipments, over-shipments, under-shipments, shipment-complete requirements, premium freight, expedites, and customer-specific fulfillment constraints.
Integrate Order Management with Inventory, Manufacturing, Supply Planning, WMS, Transportation, EDI, Accounts Receivable, and external OEM portals.
Design processes for customer-specific labeling, ASN compliance, packaging rules, routing instructions, and shipping documentation.
Create functional design documents, process maps, configuration workbooks, test scenarios, training materials, cutover plans, and hypercare procedures.
Lead SIT, UAT, end-to-end testing, integration testing, release-change testing, CUM reconciliation testing, and go-live stabilization.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of Oracle Order Management implementation experience.
3+ years of Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management implementation or support experience.
5+ years of automotive OEM, Tier 1 supplier, or automotive manufacturing order-fulfillment experience.
Deep understanding of automotive release-management concepts, including 830 planning schedules, 862 shipping schedules, forecast demand, firm demand, release revisions, and customer authorizations.
Strong knowledge of CUM concepts, including shipped CUM, received CUM, authorized CUM, CUM reset, CUM reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution.
Experience integrating Oracle Order Management with Inventory, Manufacturing, WMS, Transportation, EDI, Supply Planning, and Accounts Receivable.
Experience with Oracle Release Management, Oracle EBS Release Management, or automotive-specific release-management solutions.
Experience with OEM customer portals, customer-specific labels, ASNs, routing guides, and customer scorecards.
Understanding of JIT, JIS, sequenced delivery, OEM delivery windows, premium freight, and plant-to-customer fulfillment operations.
Strong workshop facilitation, business-process design, documentation, testing, and stakeholder-management skills.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% within the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting multi-plant, multi-business-unit, multi-legal-entity, or cross-border automotive operations.
Familiarity with AIAG terminology, automotive EDI, packaging standards, and customer shipping compliance requirements.
