We are seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of data center projects, including new builds, expansions, migrations, upgrades, and decommissioning.
The Project Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams including Data Center Facilities, Infrastructure, Network, Engineering, Construction, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex data center/infrastructure projects, multi-vendor coordination, project financials, scheduling, and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) implementations.
Lead end-to-end delivery of data center projects from planning through implementation, commissioning, and closeout.
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies.
Manage project schedules across design, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, migration, and decommissioning phases.
Develop project budgets, cost forecasts, financial plans, and project financial reporting.
Track project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Coordinate with Facilities, Network, Infrastructure, Engineering, Construction, Operations, and external vendors.
Manage multiple vendors and ensure deliverables meet project requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
Ensure all project activities comply with applicable safety, security, regulatory, and operational standards.
Support data center capacity planning and long-term infrastructure strategy initiatives.
Ensure technical solutions and project activities remain aligned with business requirements.
Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, risk discussions, and stakeholder communications.
Maintain project documentation, schedules, action items, and status reports using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, and Visio.
Identify and resolve project issues proactively through strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Travel to various data center facilities within the DFW area as required.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of project management experience within data center, infrastructure, construction, technology, or related environments.
Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including:
Power
Cooling
Racks
Structured Cabling
Networking
Physical Infrastructure
Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional, multi-vendor projects.
Prior experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) implementation.
Experience managing project budgets, cost forecasts, financial planning, and reporting.
Strong project scheduling and risk-management capabilities.
Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, and Visio.
Ability to translate business requirements into project tasks and technical deliverables.
Strong organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Willingness and ability to travel to other data center facilities as required.
Experience with data center new builds, expansions, migrations, upgrades, and decommissioning.
Experience working with data center Facilities and Network teams.
Experience managing construction, installation, commissioning, or infrastructure deployment projects.
Experience with data center capacity planning and infrastructure strategy.
PMP or other recognized project management certification is a plus.
