Summary

Title: PMO Manager

This role will be responsible for establishing and managing the Program Management Office (PMO) for a large enterprise program. The PMO Manager will develop PMO processes, standards, templates, and governance frameworks while providing program-level oversight of schedules, RAID, financials, risks, dependencies, dashboards, and project status. The role will work closely with Project Managers, Program Managers, PMO resources, and senior leadership to provide consistent program visibility, governance, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

Establish, implement, and manage the Program Management Office (PMO).
Develop and maintain PMO processes, standards, methodologies, templates, and governance frameworks.
Establish program governance structures, reporting requirements, meeting cadence, and escalation processes.
Develop and maintain consistent program management standards and controls across projects and workstreams.
Maintain and oversee the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in coordination with Project Managers and the Master Scheduler.
Manage program-level RAID, including risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and action items.
Establish and maintain program-level risk and dependency management processes.
Consolidate project status, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and variances into program-level reporting.
Track program financials, budgets, forecasts, expenditures, and variances.
Develop and maintain program dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting.
Integrate project-level status and variance information across multiple projects/workstreams.
Identify program-level schedule, resource, financial, risk, and dependency variances.
Escalate significant program risks, issues, dependencies, and variances to program leadership.
Manage and coordinate the PMO support team, including PMO analysts and project controls resources.
Establish recurring PMO and program meeting cadence, agendas, reporting, and action tracking.
Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure timely and accurate status reporting.
Ensure project-level reporting is consistent with established PMO standards and governance requirements.
Prepare executive-level presentations, dashboards, and program summaries.
Support Program Managers and senior leadership with program performance analysis and decision-making information.
Monitor adherence to PMO processes, standards, governance, and reporting requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, reporting efficiency, and program controls.
Coordinate with the Master Scheduler to ensure alignment between project schedules and the Integrated Master Schedule.

Requirements:

8+ years of experience in project management, program management, PMO, or project controls.
3+ years of experience establishing, leading, or managing a PMO.
Proven experience developing and implementing PMO processes, standards, templates, and governance.
Strong experience supporting or managing large enterprise programs with multiple projects/workstreams.
Strong experience with Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and program-level scheduling.
Strong experience managing RAID, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and action items.
Experience with program financials, budgets, forecasts, and variance management.
Proven experience consolidating project status into program-level dashboards and executive reports.
Experience integrating project-level status, schedule, financial, risk, and variance information.
Experience managing or coordinating PMO support resources/teams.
Strong experience working with Project Managers, Program Managers, senior stakeholders, and executives.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
Ability to identify program-level risks, dependencies, and variances and communicate their potential impact to leadership.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice to Have:

PMP or other recognized project/program management certification.
Experience with MS Project / Microsoft Project.
Experience with ServiceNow / ServiceNow PPM.
Experience with Power BI or other dashboard/reporting tools.
Experience in utility, energy, or other large enterprise environments.
Experience with project controls.
Experience with portfolio/program management methodologies.
