Position: Full Stack Developer

We are seeking a hands-on full-stack Java engineer to design, build, and support new SD capabilities spanning server-side services and a modern React UI, with a strong emphasis on
AI-assisted development and automated testing. The ideal candidate is self-driven, thinks and acts strategically, works well in a team, and can solve technology problems of considerable scope and complexity.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop full-stack features across the SD platform – server-side Java/Spring microservices and React/TypeScript front-end built on a micro-frontend architecture.
• Build and expand automated UI/E2E test coverage using Playwright (new modules) and Cypress (legacy modules) to strengthen regression coverage toward the 80% target.
• Leverage AI tooling (GitHub Copilot) for developer productivity, AI-driven test generation, and automated code reviews.
• Participate across the full SDLC in an Agile team – requirements, design, coding, performance testing, rollout, and production support.
• Build strong relationships with supervisory stakeholders and business unit partners, and support expansion of the platform to other divisions within the firm.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of server-side Java experience (Java 17/21, Spring / Spring Boot) building medium-to-large scale systems.
• Strong React / TypeScript / JavaScript front-end experience (HTML5); familiarity with micro-frontend patterns a plus.
• Hands-on test automation with Playwright and/or Cypress, plus solid unit and integration testing strategies.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) in a professional workflow.
• Solid grounding in relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL), object-oriented design patterns, Java multithreading, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with Agile/SDLC methodologies and tooling: Git, Jenkins, Gradle, IntelliJ/VSCode.
Nice to Have
• Knowledge of fixed income or equities trading, or supervisory / surveillance domain experience.
• Exposure to Kafka, Redis, Node.js 20+, Tableau, LaunchDarkly feature flagging, or Camunda/BPMN workflows.
