Position: Senior Full Stack Java Developer

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, Spring Boot, Angular, and Microservices architecture. This role involves designing and developing a centralized solution for tracking expiration dates for various entities, including certificates, licenses, and compliance-related items. The position requires a deep understanding of governance, compliance, and operational controls, as well as the ability to create scalable frameworks for expiration management and oversight.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java technologies.
- Develop scalable and resilient Microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
- Build and maintain responsive web applications using Angular.
- Design and implement database solutions using JPA/Hibernate and relational databases.
- Develop high-performance, multi-threaded applications and troubleshoot concurrency-related issues.
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support automated testing initiatives.
- Analyze and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational procedures.
- Support application deployments and production releases across multiple environments.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java application development.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Java (Java 8/11/17 or higher)
- Spring Boot
- RESTful APIs
- Microservices Architecture
- Angular
- JPA / Hibernate
- Apache Tomcat
- Strong understanding of:
- Object-Oriented Design and Programming
- Data Structures and Algorithms
- Multi-threading and Concurrency
- Design Patterns
- Application Security Best Practices
- Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
- Experience with source control tools such as Git.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC processes, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and DevOps practices.
- Hands-on experience in application development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Familiarity with both Linux and Windows environments.
- Experience writing and maintaining automation scripts using Shell, Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
- Understanding of SSL/TLS certificates, certificate management, and secure communications.
- Experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation and application deployment.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Knowledge of messaging platforms such as Kafka, Solace, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.

Pay Range: $75.00 - $85.00/hr on W2
