Job Title: IMS Systems Programmer
Location: Phoenix, AZ, 85044
Job Description:
- Ensure IMS environments remain stable, available, and performing properly.
- Perform IMS upgrades, apply maintenance, and manage configuration changes for DB and TM.
- Maintain IMS system definitions (DBD/PSB), control regions, buffer pools, and resource settings.
- Monitor database and transaction performance, tune buffer pools, and resolve bottlenecks.
- Work with RACF/security teams to secure IMS resources, transactions, and datasets.
- Analyze database errors, abends, logs, and dumps to resolve IMS-related issues.
- Manage IMS connectivity with Db2, MQ, CICS, z/OS communications, and Sysplex components.
- Maintain system documentation and follow ITIL/ServiceNow processes for controlled changes.
