z/OS Systems Programmer

Global Technology Solutions Group (GTSG) is a 35-year-old consulting services company focused on Mainframe systems since our inception. 

We are seeking experienced z/OS Systems Programmers with installation and support experience with z/OS operating system and related IBM and ISV products. We are looking for subject matter experts to assist us with numerous projects from steady-state support to specific projects, including ISV software migrations and performance and workload management engagements. 

We are looking for subject matter experts with the following skills and experience:

• z/OS operating system support - installation, maintenance, configuration and troubleshooting
• Broad ISV and IBM Program Product support - installation, maintenance, configuration and troubleshooting
• Advanced knowledge of SMP/E
• Understanding of the capabilities and configuration specifics of IBM and ISV products and experience in replacing an ISV product with an IBM equivalent
• Database & Data communications - DB2, IMS, CICS, VTAM/TCPIP
• Experience with performance management
• REXX programming

At the present time, all activities are remote and unlikely to change.  Compensation based on  experience, architecture & leadership skills among other factors.
