Pay: $80-90/hour W2 + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match
Overview
Our client in the entertainment and hospitality industry is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead development and integration work on the Salesforce platform in support of a strategic premium reservations and sales initiative. This role is unique in that it combines hands-on Salesforce development with ownership of the integration layer connecting Salesforce to broader enterprise platforms and services.
As a staff augmentation engagement during the discovery and solution phase, you will help the team build internal capability, evaluate technical direction, and establish long-term best practices. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong architectural judgment, and the ability to challenge design decisions when needed.
Key Responsibilities

Architect & Build: Design, develop, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning Web Components (LWC). Support premium reservations and integrated sales capabilities.

Lead Enterprise Integration: Own the integration architecture connecting Salesforce to enterprise platforms and services. Build and maintain reliable REST/SOAP-based interfaces and data flows.

Provide Technical Oversight: Serve as the internal technical authority evaluating vendor-delivered solutions and architectural decisions. Ensure designs meet engineering standards and long-term platform strategy.

Drive Data & Query Design: Write efficient, well-structured SOQL/SOSL queries. Design scalable data models for complex enterprise environments.

Modernize Development Practices: Utilize Git-based version control. Leverage Salesforce DX including scratch orgs and source-driven development.

AI-Augmented Development: Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code to improve delivery speed and code quality.

Agile Collaboration: Partner with Product, Project Management, and cross-functional engineering teams. Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Mentor & Build Capability: Help establish internal Salesforce expertise. Reduce long-term dependency on external vendors through knowledge sharing and mentorship.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including Salesforce development.
- Strong proficiency with Apex, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Experience designing, building, and consuming REST/SOAP APIs.
- Strong understanding of SOQL and SOSL.
- Experience with Git version control.
- Experience with Salesforce DX (scratch orgs, source-driven development).
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.
- Ability to evaluate technical designs and communicate tradeoffs to stakeholders.
Required Education
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Equivalent work experience will be considered.
Preferred Skills
- Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect, etc.).
- Experience integrating Salesforce with reservation, ticketing, or hotel property management systems.
- Travel, hospitality, resort, or guest experience technology experience.
- Experience overseeing external development vendors.
- Mentoring and technical leadership experience.
