Position Title: Senior C++ Programmer – COMPASS Model
Location: Seattle, WA 98112
Duration: 12 Months
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift; Onsite
Pay Rate: DOE
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and enhance an established C++ scientific modeling application.
- Develop and maintain graphical user interface functionality.
- Implement new scientific modeling features.
- Debug, test, maintain, and optimize production software.
- Improve application performance and reduce memory usage.
- Maintain technical and user documentation.
- Communicate technical status, issues, and recommendations.
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- Degree in Computer Science or closely related computing field.
- 10+ years of applied software programming experience.
- Strong C++ development experience.
- Experience developing, debugging, testing, and maintaining production software.
- Academic background/coursework in ecology, fisheries, oceanography, environmental science, biology, or related field.
- Experience with ecological, environmental, biological, or scientific modeling.
