Overview To plan, develop, test, and maintain software applications, reusable components, and digital platform solutions that support consistent, accessible, scalable, and user-friendly enterprise experiences. This role leverages front-end technologies, Java, Adobe Experience Manager, Design System standards, testing practices, and development frameworks to deliver high-quality solutions for marketing website, intranet, and shared platform teams. Work under minimal supervision and use a strong understanding of business needs, technical objectives, and operational priorities to support projects that impact digital delivery, user experience, accessibility, and platform adoption.
Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and deploy advanced high-quality software solutions that meet business, technical, accessibility, and user experience requirements.
- Develop and maintain reusable Design System components, design tokens, shared styles, libraries, documentation, and developer tooling.
- Build responsive front-end solutions using semantic HTML, CSS/Sass, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and modern component-based frameworks.
- Translate Figma designs, interaction patterns, component states, and design tokens into accessible, production-ready implementations.
- Provide Java and Adobe Experience Manager development support for components, templates, integrations, content capabilities, and related platform features.
- Integrate shared Design System assets into AEM-based marketing website and intranet experiences.
- Analyze complex technical challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective, maintainable solutions.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, functional, accessibility, visual-regression, and cross-browser testing practices to support software reliability.
- Support Angular, iOS, and Android teams in adopting Design System foundations, tokens, patterns, and implementation guidance.
- Participate in peer code reviews, technical design discussions, release validation, production support, and documentation activities.
- Work effectively within an agile delivery team, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, demos, retrospectives, and cross-functional delivery activities.
- Optimize applications and shared assets for performance, scalability, accessibility, security, and maintainability.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, accessibility specialists, quality engineers, platform teams, application developers, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Ensure final deliverables align with approved designs, acceptance criteria, and quality standards.
- Mentor junior and mid-level team members and support knowledge sharing across the team.
- Remain current with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and relevant development trends.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree preferred in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in software development, including modern web applications, reusable components, or shared UI libraries.
- Complete knowledge and understanding of business area, digital delivery objectives, user experience needs, and platform specialization.
- Advanced front-end development skills using semantic HTML, CSS/Sass, JavaScript, and modern component models such as React, Angular, Vue, or Web Components.
- Significant experience developing reusable Design System components, design tokens, responsive patterns, documentation, and supported releases.
- Significant Java and Adobe Experience Manager development experience, including AEM Sites or AEM as a Cloud Service, HTL, Sling Models, OSGi, JCR, client libraries, Maven, and REST integrations.
- Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle, agile delivery practices, version control systems, code reviews, package management, semantic versioning, and CI/CD workflows, with experience contributing to sprint-based delivery in a cross-functional agile team.
- Experience building automated tests and validating accessibility, usability, reliability, and quality for delivered code.
- Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, Section 508, ARIA, keyboard interaction, and accessible component development.
- Experience supporting Design System adoption through implementation guidance, troubleshooting, migration planning, documentation, and developer enablement.
- Working knowledge of Angular integration and native mobile Design System concepts for iOS and Android.
- Familiarity with testing and validation tools such as Jest, Testing Library, Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, JUnit, BrowserStack, Percy, axe, Lighthouse, or comparable technologies.
- Advanced skill analyzing complex technical problems, organizing work processes, and designing technical solutions.
- Advanced organizational, planning, time management, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Experience working with product managers, designers, developers, accessibility specialists, quality engineers, stakeholders, management, and vendors.
- Familiarity with secure coding, web performance, caching, observability, troubleshooting, production support, headless or hybrid CMS patterns, Adobe Edge Delivery Services, Adobe Experience Cloud integrations, or AI-assisted development practices.
Desired Qualifications - Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or the equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
