The Pega L3 Administrator is responsible for the installation, administration, upgrade, maintenance, monitoring, and support of Pega environments across Development, QA, UAT, and Production. The role involves ensuring platform stability, managing infrastructure, performing Pega platform upgrades, supporting deployments, and providing L3 production support for enterprise-scale applications.
Key Responsibilities
Pega Platform Administration
Administer and maintain Pega environments across all application lifecycles.
Manage Pega nodes, clusters, and system configurations.
Monitor platform health, availability, and performance.
Perform environment provisioning, cloning, refreshes, and decommissioning activities.
Manage application and platform configuration settings.
Pega Installation & Infrastructure Setup
Install and configure Pega Platform in on-premises and cloud environments.
Build new Pega environments from the ground up.
Coordinate infrastructure setup with server, database, network, and security teams.
Configure application servers (Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic, Openshift).
Set up clusters, node classifications, search nodes, and stream services.
Configure integrations with LDAP, SSO, and external authentication providers.
Pega Upgrades & Migration
Lead Pega platform upgrades (e.g., Pega 8.x to Infinity 23.x/24.x).
Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and migration activities.
Perform pre-upgrade impact assessments and post-upgrade validations.
Resolve upgrade-related issues and ensure application compatibility.
Coordinate with development teams to remediate guardrails and deprecated features.
Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.-
