We are seeking a Software Engineer to consult on and participate in moderately complex initiatives within software engineering. This role involves contributing to large-scale planning, reviewing and analyzing software engineering challenges, and collaborating with personnel to meet project deliverables. The position supports the ERLMF (Early Resolution Lifecycle Management Framework) application within the Home Lending organization, which is undergoing continued enhancement, automation, and AI-driven expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Participate in the ongoing enhancement and modernization of the ERLMF platform.
- Collaborate with scrum teams to deliver new features, automation capabilities, and application improvements.
- Contribute to the design and development of AI-enabled tooling and complex business rule implementations.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with product owners and fellow engineers to resolve technical challenges.
- Maintain code quality through testing, documentation, and adherence to engineering standards.
- Expand knowledge across multiple application components to support team cross-functionality.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Java development experience within the last 2 years.
- Spring Boot development experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Claude AI, Devin, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience in a corporate banking or financial services environment.
- Full-stack development experience across UI, API, automation, and application configuration.
