Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves designing and developing massively parallel distributed systems for multi-asset risk and pricing within the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Core Java development, system design, and performance tuning. This position has a hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of three days per week onsite.
Responsibilities: - Design massively parallel distributed systems with compute grids
- Write and modify code in multiple Java applications
- Upgrade major Java versions
- Conduct performance tuning of existing applications
- Implement new features based on business requirements
- Perform SQL development
- Provide some L3 support
Requirements: - 15+ years of experience working in financial services with multi-asset risk and pricing
- Minimum 5-8 years of progressive experience in the banking industry
- Application development experience in Core Java and JVM fundamentals
- Experience with System Design
- Proficient in performance tuning and debugging
- Experience with RDBMS and SQL
- Proficient in data management with strong data analytical capability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable working with different levels of management
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines
- Experience participating in large or complex projects
Desired skills: - Application development experience in Python
- Quartz experience
- Financial risk knowledge
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
