Linux Systems Administrator

Summary

Job Title: Linux Systems Administrator / Remote

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and support Linux-based servers and systems. The ideal candidate will ensure system performance, security, and availability while troubleshooting technical issues and supporting IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers.
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.
Perform system updates, patches, and backups.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and system security.
Support server deployments and infrastructure maintenance.
Document system configurations and operational procedures.

Required Skills:

Experience with Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar).
Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash) and system administration.
Understanding of networking, storage, and security concepts.
Experience with monitoring and backup tools.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Linux certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, or LPIC) are a plus.
Experience with virtualization, cloud platforms, or automation tools is an advantage.
