Genesis10 is currently seeking an Openshift Java Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves participating in the transformation and implementation of a critical feed processing system within the compliance technology organization. As part of an agile scrum team, the successful candidate will work on a high-impact project, contributing to system enhancements and new feature development in the sanctions screening space. This position offers opportunities for technical growth and exposure to cutting-edge technologies.
Responsibilities: - Work in an agile environment, coding, testing, and collaborating with PO, BA, and QA teams
- Refine requirements, design and develop high-quality, scalable database systems
- Drive architecture and implementation of key program initiatives
- Contribute to major initiatives that involve system enhancements and new feature development
- Complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision while consistently meeting timelines and quality standards
Requirements: - 10 years of application development experience with Java and Spring Framework
- 10 years of professional experience developing solutions on Oracle databases
- 6 years of API-based development experience with Spring Boot, SOAP, and REST Web Services
- Experience with Oracle database and query performance optimizations
- Experience with data warehousing and OLTP solutions
- Strong in PL/SQL
- 6 years of experience with job scheduling tools like Autosys
- 5-10 years of experience in a Unix environment and Shell scripting
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline setup and end-to-end automation for build and deployment
- Experience with release management, branching strategies, and distributed source control systems such as GIT
- Experience and desire to work in an Agile process (pair programming, daily stand-ups, etc)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desired skills: - Real-time application experience with MQ or similar technology
- Familiarity with security vulnerabilities
- Familiarity with SSO and SAML-based user authentications
- Familiarity with unit testing, testing methodology, JIRA, and infrastructure support
- Experience with domain-driven design
- Distributed systems experience
- Relevant industry experience (Compliance, Entity/Transaction Scanning, etc)
- Experience with Oracle 12c/19c
- Banking and Financial experience
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
