A nationally recognized financial firm is seeking a VMware Engineer to support its hybrid infrastructure environment at either its Jersey City, New Jersey or Charlotte, North Carolina location.
About the Opportunity:
Responsibilities:
Administer, monitor, and support enterprise VMware and virtualized infrastructure across on-premises and cloud-connected environments
Configure and maintain virtualization platforms, supporting hardware, and related infrastructure services
Troubleshoot complex virtualization, disaster recovery, and operational issues in real time
Support daily operational tasks while contributing to infrastructure projects and platform improvements
Document processes, procedures, and technical solutions to support operational consistency and knowledge sharing
Qualifications:
5+ years of VMware engineering or virtualization experience in an enterprise environment
Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and Site Recovery Manager
Experience with PowerShell scripting
Strong troubleshooting, triage, and root cause analysis skills
Ability to communicate technical information clearly with technical teams and business stakeholders
Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure environments
Desired Skills:
Experience with VMware Aria Suite tools
Familiarity with VxRail or VxBlock environments
Exposure to Rubrik, Dell EMC, or Cisco infrastructure
Automation experience using tools such as Ansible, PowerCLI, or similar scripting frameworks
Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation or VMware HCX
