In this role, you will work in small, collaborative groups through all stages of the component and system design, manufacturing, and testing. Additionally, you will take ownership of your projects and collaborate with the team to conduct the design, analysis, manufacturing, testing, and final integration of components on launch vehicles and spacecraft.
Responsibilities
Develop and integrate electrical wiring interconnect system (EWIS) designs on launch vehicles and spacecraft.
Understand and implement industry guidelines and requirements for development and design of wire harnesses.
Generate schematics, wire diagrams, harness 3D CAD routing, 2D assembly drawings, technical documentation, and reports to support flight, qualification, and test lab harness assemblies.
Coordinate requirements and interfaces between engineering disciplines, production, and integration.
Make development decisions based on technical merit, risk, cost, schedule, and/or quality assurance.
Support design reviews by presenting design, analysis, and test results, showing component design and manufacturing is meeting requirements for flight.
Partner with engineering and production teams to generate ideas, creative designs, and continuous improvements.
