Job Details
The Senior Tax Manager will be a key leader within the Tax Practice, responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing tax compliance and planning engagements, and mentoring a team of tax professionals. This role requires strong technical tax expertise, leadership capabilities, and a client-focused mindset to deliver high-quality tax solutions and strategic guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of business and individual tax clients.
Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns.
Lead tax planning and consulting engagements for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
Identify and implement tax-saving strategies for clients.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on tax and business matters.
Research and analyze complex tax issues and communicate recommendations to clients and firm leadership.
Supervise, mentor, and develop Tax Managers, Seniors, and Staff.
Review workpapers and ensure compliance with firm quality standards.
Participate in business development activities and assist with client retention efforts.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impacts on clients.
Collaborate with partners and other service lines to deliver integrated client solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Active CPA license required
8+ years of public accounting tax experience
Progressive experience managing complex tax engagements
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
Experience reviewing partnerships, S-corporations, C-corporations, trusts, estates, and individual tax returns
Demonstrated leadership and staff development experience
Strong communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills
Experience with tax software and research platforms
