Job DetailsJob Title: Building Controls Engineer
Location: Greater Boston, MA
About the Role: We're seeking a Building Controls Engineer to support the design, programming, commissioning, and ongoing support of building automation systems (BAS) for commercial clients in the Boston area. This role works closely with project and service teams to deliver reliable, efficient controls solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement BAS control strategies and sequences of operation
- Program and configure BAS platforms (Niagara, ALC, Siemens, Honeywell, or similar)
- Create and review control drawings, I/O schedules, and submittals
- Perform system startup, point-to-point testing, and commissioning
- Troubleshoot and support controls and system integration issues
- Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and customers
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with building automation or HVAC controls
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and control logic
- Experience with BAS platforms and protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.)
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Valid driver's license
Nice to Have
- Engineering or technical degree
- AutoCAD or Visio experience
- Commissioning or energy optimization experience
